Program

Beside the technical program with lectures and laboratory work, we will offer you a variety of excursions and social activities. This will include a visit of Frankfurt am Main, Germany's most international city and a visit of Gießen with its Mathematikum, the world's first mathematical science center.
A detailed program will be available in April. Here the program of last years e.media 2010:

Monday Welcome, registration, warm up and introduction to intercultural team-work
Tuesday Lesson: High Dynamic Range Images (lecture, excercises and practical work)
Wednesday Project planning, storyboarding, setup
Thursday Excursion and practical work*: taking photographs for HDRI creation at "Hessenpark" (open air museum of half-timbered buildings with more than 100 houses) or "Saalburg" (Roman Cohort Fort, which is UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005)
Friday Laboratory: creation of High Dynamic Range Images; first test renderings
Saturday Excursion: Visiting Frankfurt, sightseeing walk (most international German city, city of european trade and finances, architecture from high rise buildings to cosy historical houses)

Monday Laboratory: creation of High Dynamic Range Images; test renderings Campus barbecue
Tuesday Lesson: theory and applications of HDRR and Image Based Lighting; invited speaker presentation
Wednesday Laboratory: 3d modeling and shading of virtual objects Guided tour Gießen plus visiting the Mathematikum**, "hands on" mathematical science center

Friday Laboratory: illumination and rendering of final projects
Saturday Plenum: project result presentations; summary; evaluation
Farewell party
